Today we done our first assignment which was on, urban legends.

We were asked to download urban legends on your phone and to read the stories on it. I read one which was called the hairy monster and i was interested and inspired by making a script based on it. We also watched some short horror films so we can get an idea for our project. Our project is based on horror films so we were asked to be put in groups to perform a short horror film in 6 weeks time. We were also asked to go on this website called 'celtx' where there is loads of horror script writing. We can go on it if we ever feel stuck and need help on writing our own script so its like our guide line.

Today we were with Sally and she was teaching us the basics on a camera, learning the different functions of a camera like the aperture which is how much light is coming in when taking different shots. She gave us a task to be in pairs and for us to go outside and take three each pictures with different apertures. We then had to upload them on to gmail and use the photos we took for our homework.

Today, we were working on Photoshop with Martin. He was teaching us all the basics on Photoshop and how they are effective. He also taught us the short cuts into using Photoshop like 'Ctrl t' which is the short cut to resize a picture. He also gave us the opportunity to work on our horror film posters and were gonna use the skills we learnt on it.

On Friday we were put into groups of three and my group is me, Maria and Jamie. My group is following Jamie's story which is called 'A noise in the night' and we are going to prepare for it. We are doing the Pre-Production for it first. We have to go through the list of it and make sure we all do it together as a team. I have already made the timing plan for it and Jamie and Maria have made the story board. I am also going to make the poster for it. After we go through that list we have to do the production which is the actual shoot. After that we are going to do the post production which is editing the shoot and making sure the music is in the right place and the cut scenes. The special effects have to be good and if we have voice over it has to be in the right time.
